I keep mixing up the 4 Ps of marketing in my answers. Can someone explain each one with an example so I remember them for the exam?
The marketing mix is made up of four controllable elements, known as the 4 Ps. Product refers to the goods or services offered to satisfy customer needs, including its features, quality, packaging, and branding; for example, a shampoo's formula and bottle design. Price is the amount customers pay, including pricing strategy and discounts; for example, setting a launch price lower to attract buyers. Place (physical distribution) covers how the product reaches customers through channels, transport, and warehousing; for example, selling through retailers and online. Promotion is communicating with customers through advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, and publicity; for example, TV ads and festival offers. A firm blends these four in the right proportion to satisfy its target market and achieve its objectives. They are called controllable because the firm can adjust each one, unlike external environmental factors.
