Terms of Service

By accessing the TuitionsInIndia platform, you agree to follow these terms. We provide the platform; you agree to use it responsibly.

You are responsible for your account details. Tutors must provide accurate and honest information about their qualifications and teaching experience. Providing false information may result in account suspension.

Creating an account, posting a profile or a tuition requirement, searching, and replying to messages are free. Paid plans are optional. These are the things you can pay us for:

• Student Pro — ₹499 for 30 days. This is a single payment, not a subscription: it does not renew on its own and simply ends when the 30 days are over.
• Tutor Pro — ₹999 a month.
• Institute Pro — ₹1,999 a month.
• Featured listing — ₹199 for a week or ₹499 for a month. A single payment that ends when the period is over.
• Lead credits for institutes — bought in packs. One credit claims one student enquiry.

Most purchases are a single payment for the period you choose: nothing renews, and your plan simply ends when the period runs out. Tutor Pro and Institute Pro can also be set to renew automatically. On your subscription page that is a tick box which is off unless you switch it on, so leaving it alone means you are charged once. An institute that signs up through institute registration is set up to renew automatically by default, unless a discounted offer applies. Where a plan does renew automatically, your bank approves the repeating payment at checkout and it keeps running until you cancel. Either way, the checkout screen tells you which of the two you are buying, and the exact amount, before you pay.

We do not take a commission on tuition fees, so tutors keep 100% of what they earn. Some tutors and students still hold credits from our older pricing. Those credits still work, but we no longer sell them.

Harassment, fraud, or misrepresentation is strictly not allowed. All users are expected to be honest and respectful at all times.

5. Platform disclaimer

TuitionsInIndia connects students and tutors. We do not employ the tutors listed on our platform, and we do not select, screen, recommend or endorse anyone.

Tutors and institutes write their own profiles, and those profiles go live automatically. No person at TuitionsInIndia reads a profile before it appears. A profile shows up in search once the required fields — name, subjects and locations — have been filled in. That is a check that those fields are not empty. It is not a check that anything written in them is true.

We do not check identity documents, qualification certificates, degrees or teaching experience before a tutor is listed, and we do not run background checks or police verification on anyone. A “Verified” badge on a profile is given automatically once that profile is complete — it does not mean we have seen that person’s ID or certificates. Tutors can choose to send us documents for us to check, but most have not, and the badge looks the same either way.

So please interview any tutor yourself and ask to see their original documents before you hire them. Classes, fees, timings and conduct are agreed directly between you and the tutor, and we are not a part of that arrangement.

What we collect and why is set out in our Privacy Policy. Two things you can do without asking anyone’s permission: download everything we hold about you, and delete your account. Deleting removes your profile, requirements, messages, reviews and activity history, and cancels any auto-renewing subscription so you are not charged again.

Your payment records are the one thing that survives a deletion — the amount, date and Razorpay reference are kept because Indian tax law requires books of account to be kept for several years. Nothing that identifies you is used for anything else after that.
