Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and improve your experience on return visits.
These are the three cookies we set ourselves, by name:
ti_session — essential
Keeps you logged in. Without it the site cannot know who you are, so you cannot opt out of it and use an account.
ti_attribution — 30 days
Records which campaign, ad or link first brought you to the site, so we can tell which of them actually work.
ti_anon — 1 year
A random ID with no name attached, so we can tell a returning visitor from a new one. It is honest to say this is not anonymous once you sign up: at that point we link it to your account, and your page views before signing up become part of your history. You can see that history in your data download.
Your recent search choices (subject, class, location) are also remembered — but in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. Clearing cookies will not clear those; clearing site data will.
Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can choose to block or delete cookies at any time. Note that disabling essential cookies will affect how the platform works — for example, you will be logged out on every visit.

Razorpay also sets its own cookies when you make a payment. All four are governed by those companies’ own privacy policies. We do not currently show a consent banner before these load, so if you would rather they did not run, block them in your browser or with a tracker blocker.
