How do I solve linear equations in one variable quickly?
I make sign mistakes when moving terms across the equals sign. Any reliable method so I don't lose easy marks?

The simple rule to avoid making sign mistakes is: Opposite side, Opposite sign. Opposite of + is -, opposite of x is /, and vice versa. Eg 4(2x+3) /6=2 1st step, take 6 to the RHS ( right hand side) Since 6 is in division on LHS, opposite operation on RHS. So, multiply 2x6= 12. So 4(2x+3) = 12. Now 4 is in multiplication. So divide on RHS. 12/4= 3. So 2x+3=3. Now 3 is added on LHS. So RHS, opposite operation of addition, that means, subtraction. So 2x=3-3 2x =0. Now 2 is in multiplication. Opposite side, divide.
