I cannot finish the whole 12th Chemistry syllabus deeply. I want to know where to focus first to maximise my marks.
For Maharashtra HSC Chemistry, balance the two halves. Physical Chemistry chapters like Chemical Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics and Solutions are high-yield because they carry numericals that you can master with practice and score fully. In Organic Chemistry, focus on reaction mechanisms, named reactions and conversions, plus Aldehydes-Ketones-Acids and Halogen derivatives, which appear every year. Inorganic chapters like p-block and d-and-f-block reward memorising trends, equations and properties, so revise them through self-made tables. Start with the numerical-heavy physical chapters since they are scoring and logical, then secure organic conversions, and keep inorganic for daily short revision. Always solve previous years' HSC papers because question patterns repeat closely, and write balanced equations carefully as half marks are lost on unbalanced ones.
