Yes — creating your tutor profile, being found by families, tapping "I'm interested" and seeing who picked you are all completely free (on requirements posted before 4 October 2026, so is chatting with a student who accepts you). Free: tap "I'm interested" on up to 3 matching requirements a day. When a family accepts you, get Tutor Pro to see their number and call them (the acceptance stays open for 3 days). Your profile is listed free, and families on Family Pro may see your number and call you (you can hide it in your privacy settings). Pro ₹999 a month: see the number of each family who accepts you and call them (each acceptance stays open for 3 days), and call or WhatsApp families who posted for free and agreed, at most 5 tutors per family (fair use: 5 a day), in one level and up to 5 subjects from your profile — plus no daily limit on "I'm interested". Families who post for free can choose, requirement by requirement, to be called or WhatsApped by tutors on Pro about it (it's off unless the family ticks a box for that requirement, so there may be none in your area). On those requirements you press "Contact this family" and get their number. Up to 5 tutors can do this on each requirement; after that it shows "Full". You have one profile, and Pro covers one level from it (Classes 1–10, Classes 11–12 and entrance exams, College or Skills and hobbies) and up to 5 of its subjects, which you choose. You can change them once every 30 days. Otherwise: when a family who posted for free accepts you, Pro shows you their number so you can call them (the acceptance stays open for 3 days). On older requirements, phone numbers are shared with both sides once the family books you and you confirm. Pro is monthly only (₹999 for 30 days); it ends unless you tick auto-renew at checkout, and you can cancel a renewing plan anytime from your dashboard.

Families can take Family Pro (₹399 a month, renews until they cancel) to see their matching tutors and call or WhatsApp them. If you match, they may see your number and call you, on any plan, including free. You pay nothing for these calls. Don't want that? Turn off "Show phone number publicly" in Settings → Privacy settings. Then families on Family Pro can't see your number. When a family on Family Pro calls or WhatsApps you, you pay us nothing.

You have one profile, and Pro covers one level from it (Classes 1–10, Classes 11–12 and entrance exams, College or Skills and hobbies) and up to 5 of its subjects, which you choose. You can change them once every 30 days. You can call or WhatsApp only families whose requirement fits that level and one of those subjects. We sell Pro to a new tutor only when at least 3 different families whose requirements match them have agreed to calls. That is a check, not a promise: those families may be shared with other tutors, and they may not answer. "I'm interested" works on every plan, whatever your Pro scope.

It depends on how the family found you. When a family on Family Pro calls or WhatsApps you, you pay us nothing. When a family chooses you through our earlier ₹999 "we recommend 3" service (or a match we make by hand), you pay a one-time placement fee of half (50%) of your first month's fees for that student, at most ₹5,000. It is refunded in full if the family stops within 14 days. When you contact a family who posted for free, there is no placement fee — your Pro plan is the only cost. On requirements posted for free from 4 October 2026, 8:00 am IST, there is no booking and no booking fee: when a family accepts you, you can call them once you're on Tutor Pro. On requirements posted before 4 October 2026, 8:00 am IST (older terms), when a family books you through the site, you pay us no fee: the family pays our booking fee (50% of month one, at most ₹5,000) and you charge that family 50% less for month one. You collect the discounted month one after class 4. A family that finds you through your own profile link pays you directly, with no placement fee. We take no share of your ongoing fees — from month two, everything the family pays is yours. Families who chose our earlier ₹999 "we recommend 3" service (no longer offered to new families) are never contacted this way — we pick tutors for them. The placement fee applies only to matches made through that service: half of month one (at most ₹5,000), refunded if the family stops within 14 days.

We do not check ID documents, qualification certificates or backgrounds, and no profile is marked as verified. We do not offer document verification. Tutors write their own profiles. Students should interview tutors and check their original documents before hiring.

Yes. Each tutor has one profile, and you can list multiple subjects, grades and locations on it — that is not limited by your plan. Pro lets you call families in one level and up to 5 of those subjects, which you choose.
