Online tuition, anywhere in India

Per hour, not per month. A rough figure is fine — you can negotiate later.

One or two lines is plenty — this is what a tutor reads before applying.

Two ways to find your online tutor

1. Find me a tutor. Tell us the class, subject, board and good timings. We pick the 3 online tutors who fit best, and you choose one. You pay us a one-time fee only when the tutor you chose says yes: 2 hours of that tutor's rate, at least ₹500 and at most ₹1,500. Not happy after the first class? We find you up to 3 more tutors within 30 days, or refund the fee in full.

2. Post for free. Post your requirement, tutors who teach it apply, and you pick. Free to post; a booking fee applies only if you book a tutor through us.

Either way, your phone number stays hidden until you choose a tutor.

When online tuition works well, and when it doesn't

  • Works well: maths and science practice, board-exam revision, and languages. It also helps when the right tutor for your board (IGCSE and IB especially) doesn't live near you.
  • Home tuition may suit better: children under about 8 who can't sit at a screen, and a child who needs someone in the room to stay on task.
  • What you need: a laptop or tablet (a phone is hard for maths), a steady connection, and a quiet corner. Some tutors write on a digital whiteboard, and others use a camera pointed at paper. Ask which one they use.

Online tuition: common questions

How much does online tuition cost in India?

Tutors here set their own rates. Median ₹500 an hour, and half ask between ₹300 and ₹550 (682 with a rate). Rates rise a little in the senior classes, and IGCSE and IB tutors are at the higher end.

Is online tuition as good as home tuition?

For most school subjects the tutor matters more than the room. Online lets you choose on subject and board knowledge instead of distance. Home suits younger children better.

Can my child have a trial class first?

Many tutors offer one. It's marked on their profile (461 of the 708 list a trial class). Ask the tutor about it when you choose.

We live outside India. Can we use this?

Yes. Classes run on video, so you only need a time that suits both sides. Tutors' rates are in rupees.
