IB English tutors, online

"IB English" can mean different courses. In the Diploma, English A (Literature, or Language and Literature) is for students who study in English as a main language, and English B is a language-acquisition course. Each is taken at Standard or Higher Level. In the MYP, English is taught either as Language and Literature or as Language Acquisition. Tell the tutor which one your child takes. 54 tutors on TuitionsInIndia teach IB English online.

Two ways to find your online tutor

1. Post for free. Tell us the class, subjects and your budget. It costs nothing. Matching tutors tell you they're interested. Accept up to 3 and they can call you once they have active Tutor Pro access — each acceptance stays open for 3 days. You choose who to go ahead with. You can send STOP to our WhatsApp 99301 23025 any time.

2. Family Pro. ₹399 a month, GST included — it renews automatically until you cancel. See your matching online tutors and call or WhatsApp them yourself. We only offer it when at least 3 tutors match well. We remind you before every renewal, you can cancel any time from your dashboard, and if you don't contact any tutor within 7 days, your first month is refunded automatically.

We never take a share of what you pay your tutor.

What to look for

Which course and level

English A Literature, English A Language and Literature, or English B; SL or HL. Ask which of these the tutor has taught.

Commentary and essay writing

IB English is assessed largely through written analysis. Ask how the tutor gives feedback on your child's writing.

Internal Assessment

The individual oral counts towards the final grade. A tutor can help your child prepare, but the work has to be your child's own.

For families outside India

Classes are online, so you only need a time that suits both sides. The UAE is 1½ hours behind India, so an evening class in Dubai is late evening for the tutor. Agree timings before you choose. Rates are in rupees.
